A group of parents from Shrewley village, where no play provision existed previously, decided to work together to rectify this and create a new play area. They raised the necessary funds to bring their project to reality and then looked to a provider to draw up a design.

Initially, a local architect had drawn up some plans for the space, but these did not match their expectations for the site. Once approached and onboard, Proludic provided a cost-effective design solution that offered plenty of play opportunities. The client wanted something that was in keeping with the natural area and pieces from the Origin met the brief.

During construction, the site threw up numerous challenges for our project management team. For instance, contractors needed to work around the local topography hand digging areas to ensure the roots of a large tree were not damaged and remained intact during the installation. Despite this, Proludic delivered the project on time and within budget, leaving the residents delighted.

Shrewley Parish Parents worked with Proludic from an early stage of consultation and design right through to delivery and installation of our community playground. They were friendly and informative, gave us some great ideas about what would suit the space and our community, offered insight into funding ideas and handling the planning permission process, and were on hand to assist through the installation process. Their support was a huge benefit to our project and the result is a safe, welcoming and fun community space for families in our area. We would highly recommend working with Proludic.
