Proludic are proud to be a member of the Continuing Professional Development Certification Agency programme.
Continuing Professional Development (or CPD) is the term used to describe the undertaking of a structured and planned approach to post-qualification further learning throughout the career path.
As such we are able to offer a range of play industry related topics that have been independently verified for their educational content.
We are currently running four CPD seminars across the UK. As part of the service we can arrange to come to your office, bring lunch and present to you and your colleagues in the comfort of your own surroundings to suit your schedule. These seminars are relevant for all providers and specifiers of outdoor play and fitness spaces.
• Empowering Teenage Girls :
This presentation explores the issues surrounding the engagement of girls in teenage spaces and how small design changes can create a much more inclusive space for all. This includes a short DVD of a group of girls interviewed for their opinions and views on the facilities traditionally provided for teenagers in parks and openspaces.
• Enhancing Community Spaces :
Our Enhancing Community Spaces seeks to offer play, sport and recreational solutions to the 10 Key Points made in Decent homes need decent spaces (Research summary document, CABE) with regard to environmental improvements for communities on social housing estates. This seminar has previously been presented to a number of Groundworks and private Landscape Architects.
• Revenue Generation from Public Realm & Green Space Settings
Shrinking budgets and resource down-scaling, hasn’t dampened the need to create high quality public spaces, the challenges are therefore greater than ever. This casestudy-based presentation explores new ways of working including partnerships, leasing options and revenue generation, a fresh look at play provision and family destinations.
•The 7 Steps to Success: Funding & Community Engagement
This presentation follows the step-by-step process for acquiring funds for public play and sports areas. Taking the participants through the 7 steps of consultation, designing and maintaining your play area.
On completion of the seminar we can provide you with an attendance form and certificate. This can be attributed towards your 35 – 40 hours CPD required each year to maintain your profession.
