This playground, designed and manufactured by Proludic, is an excellent example of a play area that has been designed to be accessible to younger children of all ages and abilities. Proludic won this tender following a successful consultation with the community that focused on asking their opinion about enhancing the play space with a focus on inclusivity. The new commercial playground equipment features a variety of different age-appropriate play structures across two distinct zones for toddlers and juniors. The brief for the junior area was for play equipment offering opportunities for more riskier and challenging play.
The enclosed toddler zone is situated within a tree-enclosed area offering great shade in the summertime. The focal point of this well-designed area is a Multiplay unit from our Diabolo Baby (J38710) range offering two slides and steps as well as a sloped climbing wall access from those 6 months upwards. A raised mound coated in wetpour has a fantastic toboggan slide down one side to take the younger user back to terra firma.
A wheelchair-accessible roundabout (J2404) and hammock swing (J443) offer plentiful socialising and play
opportunities for all either through rotation or the undulation of swinging back and forth. There are interconnecting wetpour paths linking all the equipment together with two picnic tables on the outskirts for parents and carers to rest up and enjoy all the action from afar.
The junior space has a sizable IXO Multiplay (J2535) unit for 8 years upward to enjoy and traverse the iconic monkey bars that is standard with this range. Totaling 9 play values, this unit offers a lot of challenging play opportunities such as the firepersons pole, wobble platform and speed slide for those who dare! (J2535). The more challenging play experiences continue with dynamic units such as the Double Perch (J986) and the fast-rotating Roll-up.
The Jubilee Playing Fields play area has been a huge success since its installation, with children of all ages
and abilities flocking to the playground to play, learn, and explore. The playground has become a popular
destination for families and has helped to create a sense of community in the area. Parents of children with disabilities have also been impressed by the playground’s accessibility features, appreciating the effort that has been made to make the playground inclusive for all children. With its exciting play structures, interactive elements, and accessibility features, this playground is sure to provide hours of fun for children of all ages and abilities.
