Proludic was selected by Wigan Borough Council to design and install a new playground at Pennington Flash Country Park, part of a £2.7m transformation of the site within the Flashes of Wigan and Leigh National Nature Reserve. Inspired by the park’s unique natural habitat, the inclusive, nature-themed play space combines fun with education. Highlights include an inclusive wheelchair seesaw, tall towers with crawling tubes, multiple swings, and a central “Toddler Lake” with a swan springer. Children can also enjoy the cableway or explore the sand pit with a sand excavator.

The Water Adventure Play Park in Weston-Super-Mare has been transformed into a vibrant, seaside-themed destination that celebrates the spirit of this coastal town. Located just off the seafront promenade, the site faced environmental and logistical challenges, including deteriorated timber equipment, poor drainage, and existing underground flood defences. A new, durable, and inclusive layout was needed to withstand the harsh coastal climate and high summer footfall.

Proludic, known for its expertise in coastal projects and robust product range, led the redevelopment using high-pressure laminate (HPL) and structural steel with lifetime guarantees. The result is a resilient, imaginative space designed to engage visitors of all ages and abilities.

The park’s centrepiece is the J2696 Whale from Proludic’s Aquatica range, a 10.42-metre-long structure with 59 play features for up to 70 users. It includes internal net climbs, slides, swings, and hammocks to promote imaginative and social play. Nearby stands the 6.9-metre J47251 Lighthouse, offering dramatic views and adventurous play with features like a spiral staircase and fire pole.
