PRIMARY PURPOSE: To work in conjunction with the Commercial Director to establish a suppliers’ network of both products and services, maintain pricing structures, and assist in obtaining sub-contractor / partnership collateral. This will include identifying strategic partners and negotiating price plans to enable us to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to our valued customer network of local authorities, town/parish councils, and housing developers.

SKILLS:  This role demands a highly organised individual who can produce accurate work and the ability to work closely with colleagues across several departments. Good negotiating skills, an understanding of margins and profitability, and attention to detail are crucial. Knowledge of the construction industry would be beneficial.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To develop and maintain a pricing structure to include both products and services.
  • To help establish a network of suppliers and assist in negotiating price plans to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist in checking quotations to ensure correct pricing is used.
  • Visit suppliers to establish good working relationships and discuss new products and pricing structures.
  • To assist in the preparation of tenders and framework pricing agreements.
  • Maintain stock spreadsheets to assist in the supply chain.
  • Collate and accurately store documentation from the supply chain.
  • Assist in providing POWs & Construction Phase Plan documents.
  • To support the Bid department with producing quotations.
  • Responding to enquires from other members of the Proludic team in the office, on the phone, and via email.
  • Undertake tasks as necessary as requested by the Commercial Director.

Hours of work
Full-Time – 36 hours a week
Part-time hours may be considered, minimum of 32 hours.
