The play area at Woodville Recreational Ground was in drastic need of refurbishment as the existing equipment had become outdated and unsafe for use. The Friends of Woodville Parish Council set aside the task of raising funds for a whole new outdoor playground for a wide range of ages. When Proludic’s themed and colourful design was chosen by the children as their preferred design, both the Friends Group and Proludic worked together on ensuring the project could be delivered within the budget.

The Friends group then applied to various funding sources to gather the total required to make this project happen. The design of the play area was developed by incorporating elements from Woodville’s industrial heritage.

The Play Area has been a huge success! At weekends the play area is packed with happy children and pupils flocking there on their way to and from school also. We have been impressed by working with Proludic and their approach to the project from initial ideas and linking the heritage of the site, through to the installation to ensure we got exactly what we all wanted – which is an amazing play area we are all proud of.
