Basildon Borough Council tendered for the refurbishment of one of their main flagship play areas – Northlands Play and Multi-Use Social Area (MUSA). Proludic succeeded in winning the project due to the community picking their chosen design out of 5 other play designs. This design stood out due to the variety in its design offering 40+ new play elements for 200+ users at any one time. Basildon Borough Council have worked with Proludic for many years due to the high standard of service and aftercare they received before, during and after any play or sport installation.

Alongside the play area, Proludic utilised an existing tarmac area that was previously used for football and was reinvented through redesign into a Multi Social Area. This included a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) for football, basketball and cricket alongside outdoor gym equipment, callisthenics and a table tennis area.

Proludic utilised the existing natural settings of the park with the popular fishing lake as a backdrop and brought this theme into the play area using a bespoke boat and a 4m high Tree House. Proludic ensured all ages and abilities were catered for by ensuring its equipment choices were accessible and were unique such as an inclusive inground trampoline.
